French Toast
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6-8 slices challah, brioche, or white bread
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoon brown sugar
- maple syrup or powdered sugar to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a shallow container (such as a pie plate), combine cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla. Wisk together.
- Grease a 9x13 pan with butter and sprinkle brown sugar over top butter.
- Dip bread in egg mixture. Place bread slices in pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve with maple syrup or powdered sugar.
